Plumeria Cutting 'Nebel's Rainbow' Rooted During The Winter Months

On November 28, 2010, I planted two plumeria cuttings ‘Nebel’s Rainbow’ indoors in Chicago, USA, which is plant hardiness zone 5. Each cutting’s two branches have grown an additional 4 inches (10 cm) so far since planted with inflorescences starting to develop on each cutting. I used a new rooting method on both cuttings.

The picture shows one of the two cuttings as of February 24, 2011.

Plumeria 'Nebel's Rainbow' has yellow rainbow flowers which average three and a half inches in diameter. The petals show a strong red band on the reverse side. The band is a lighter red on the front side of the petals.

The petals themselves which moderately overlap are wide and have rounded tips. The texture is heavy and the keeping quality is very good.

Plumeria 'Nebel's Rainbow' has a slight sweet fragrance.
